Ireland day 0471. Thursday 12 January 2023- Paperwork
Commentary
(Summary blog only. Last full blog was Day 0368).
Val was back at work again this morning and I had a video catch up with a friend back in the UK first thing. So quite a busy and enjoyable morning.
Once the call was completed, I embarked on a day of paperwork. Never my favourite way of spending time, but important nevertheless. So house insurance, car insurance and health insurance policies were all renewed – though I can hardly believe it’s a year since I first took them out. When renewing the medical policy I discovered that I could make a claim towards the cost of the various dental treatments I’ve had recently. I can only get about €90 at most which is trivial compared to the €2000 I’ve spent, but not to be sneezed at. So I found all my bills and put in a claim.
Then in the evening I made a quick trip into Dublin via Tara St station for a routine eye test, just to round off a perfect(!) day. Such a contrast to the peace and tranquillity of the last two days in the west coast!
