Ireland day 0657. Monday 17 July 2023- Accountant
Commentary
(Summary blog only. Last full blog was Day 0368).
We spent the first part of the morning working on some admin matters, then hauled ourselves off to see our accountant, which in general terms is about as enjoyable as paying a visit to the dentist
Once we had met with the accountant, we felt in need of some refreshment so decided to treat ourselves to coffee and a scone in the Grand Hotel. It felt well deserved and we spent quite a long time lingering over it, enjoying the moment. Our reverie eventually had to end, so we returned to the flat and after a few moments gathering our wits, we decided to go on our favourite short-ish walk round the castle demesne. It was enjoyable and after all the rain we’ve had recently , it was looking exceptionally verdant and fungi were popping up everywhere – including on the stems of trees. (I haven’t included a map or GPX of the walk as I have already posted near-identical ones dozens of times before).
Now we are comfortably settled back in the flat, and getting ready to enjoy a beer and some pork-cheek tostadas, using the meat which we bought several weeks ago and have been saving in the freezer for a special occasion such as today.
