Ireland day 0890. Wednesday 06 March 2024- Shelbourne

Today’s summary	Came into Dublin to stay at the posh Shelbourne Hotel on St Stephens’ Green, as a treat after achieving some major milestones over the last year. Took the DART in and then had a session in the hotel gym and pool before gourmet dinner. Wonderful!
Today’s weather	Mostly dry with some sun. Moderate south easterly wind. Appx 10c

Commentary

(Summary blog only. Last full blog was Day 0368).

We had been promising ourselves for several months that when the pressures of work, tax, weddings, house sales and surgical procedures eased off a little, we would treat ourselves to a night in one of Dublin’s smartest hotels – the Shelbourne.

So here we are. It’s very nice and we are enjoying settling in. We spent a few hours after we arrived in the spa, gym and swimming pool so felt that our deluxe dinner in the Saddle Rooms restaurant this evening felt well deserved.

I’m not going to write any more as we are only here for one night and we want to make the most of our stay.
