(Summary blog only.   Last full blog was Day 0368).

The main part of my day today was taken up with travelling to the UK to meet up with Val (who travelled yesterday) and some of the rest of the family. We are having a short social break and I’ll be returning to Dublin on Sunday.

But before embarking on my voyage first I spent the morning working on this week’s instalment of my Spanish homework. In our classes, we are starting to spend more time speaking rather than learning grammar, vocabulary and tenses. It’s hard work though probably of more practical value. So our homework had a long audio passage to listen to and interpret. I find I have to concentrate very hard and it’s quite headache inducing!

Once I’d finished, I had lunch (salad) and caught the 102 bus to the airport. The transit through the airport was straightforward, though of course I was slow through security because of my metal hips.

The flight was good – it left on time and arrived early. I was straight off the plane and caught a train from Gatwick with only 5 minutes wait. I was in central London just five hours after leaving the flat.

So it’s so far so good, and very much looking forward to meeting up with everyone later this evening.

Safely delivered to Dublin airport by the trusty 102! On the train from Gatwick to London Victoria.   Only had to wait about 5 minutes for one to come in, and the journey to town was swift
