(Summary blog only.   Last full blog was Day 0368).

Many features of today replicated yesterday, minus the hospital visit but plus Spanish class this evening.

I dragged myself out of bed relatively early – I am slowly adjusting to the alarm going off at 7:30 – and shot off to the office as soon as I had had my cup of tea.   I left Val relaxing in the flat but she’s been working full-on for the last few days and is back at it again on Thursday, so it’s well deserved.

I had  three Teams meetings today, which to be perfectly honest I could have done from anywhere – but I think it’s important to be seen to be around, especially as they are paying me to work for them!

Once I’d finished my last call, I packed up my things and scooted back to Malahide for a quick dinner and catch up with Val.   Then I changed out of my suit (hooray) into something more comfortable, and collected up my papers for Spanish tonight.   As it was the last class of the term,  we were having a small party afterwards, and I took along the platter of cakes and biscuits that I’d bought at the Spanish shop in Dublin last Saturday.

Now at last it’s time to draw a line under the day, and to enjoy a small glass of the Cotswold whisky we’ve been sampling over the last couple of weeks, while we settle down with the antipenultimate episode of Succession.   Can’t wait to see how it ends!

Working man, again! Thank goodness for the casseroles I made before we both dived into the winter work frenzy
Val gets delicious leftovers when Wonderlights has finished.   This is 100% fat and totally healthy I was given this wristband at the hospital yesterday and I think I am supposed to keep it on until I have my operation on Thursday.   In essence, it says “Please look after this person.  Thank you” though I don’t think it was signed by Great Aunt Lucy
Spanish dominoes – a fun way to end the term
