(Summary blog only.   Last full blog was Day 0368).

A shorter blog than normal today.   We have come over to Scotland to stay with a couple of friends up in the Cairngorm mountains for a few days.   We leave on Sunday.

Most of the day was taken up with getting here, actually.   Starting with the 11:02 am no. 102 bus from Malahide to the airport, then a short flight (in a tiny plane with propellers!) to Aberdeen where we were picked up by friends at the airport, then an hour’s drive west up into the mountains.

It’s absolutely lovely here – fresh air, peace and quiet, and beautiful scenery.   OK it’s pouring with rain but that just adds to the atmosphere.   Right now we’re sitting by the log fire and enjoying a glass of bubbly with our friends before dinner.   Life doesn’t get much better than this.

At Dublin airport.  This is the lovely Terminal 1 entrance Great view of Lambay Island shortly after take-off
Our tiny ATR-72 aeroplane taking us to Aberdeen.   Despite the alarmingly small size, it was a surprisingly smooth flight.
