Commentary
(Summary blog only. Last full blog was Day 0368).
A lovely day in Dublin today with James and Katie.
We took the DART around 11:00 into town then the Luas over to Heuston station. From there, in essence, we did a clockwise circumnavigation of Phoenix Park and Farmleigh – a decent 15km / 9mi leg-stretch which is always enjoyable whatever the season.
We didn’t see any deer today, but winter aconites, snowdrops and even some daffodils were poking their heads up into the winter daylight. Lunch at the café in Farmleigh then a brisk stroll back down the north side of the park, round the back of the Zoo, back to Heuston.
We’re back in Malahide now after a remarkably swift DART ride back (I fell asleep), and we are off out to dinner in Townyard restaurant in a few moments. I need to stop now and slip into something more comfortable, as they say.
