Commentary
(Summary blog only. Last full blog was Day 0368).
Only a quick blog today. Most of the morning we spent finishing off the tidying and clearing that we hadn’t done yesterday. Then I tackled some of the avalanche of paperwork that seems to have landed through our door over the last few weeks. At least now it is all sorted out and filed, if not all completely understood or sorted out.
Once we’d done as much preparation as we reasonably could, we walked up through the eastern side of the demesne, then up the Bawn and down Church Road. We stopped off in Supervalu at the end to pick up a few essentials, then set off to the airport to pick up our guests who were coming over from the UK to stay with us for a few days.
They made it over from Bristol straightforwardly, then we all took a quick stroll round Malahide and settled down to an evening catching up on the news and planning the next few days. Oh – and finishing off a few bottles of wine too. A very enjoyable day, in all.
