Our friends’ second day in Dublin with us.   So after another relatively leisurely morning, we took a DART into town about 11am.   We had a good look round and really enjoyed everywhere being very quiet.   After a look around the various sights in Merrion Street, we dropped in briefly to  the Natural History Museum to check out the Megalocerus giganteus then went into the National Gallery for lunch and a look around the art.

Later in the afternoon, we walked through to College Green via Trinity College and then on to the Castle via Molly Malone and the Powerscourt shopping centre.   The castle was delightfully deserted so we had plenty of time and space to look at the various installations on display.   By the time we came out, it was getting dark and we felt in need of refreshment.   So we crossed the road and went to Brogan’s Bar for a couple of quick glasses of Guinness.

After a cold wait for a train at Tara St, we arrived in Malahide at about 7:45pm and went straight out for dinner at the Greedy Goose and had very enjoyable tapas.   So now we are back in the flat, beginning to warm up after a chilly day out, and starting to plan tomorrow’s activities.
