(Summary blog only.   Last full blog was Day 0368).

Val’s still away, so today was a bit of a re-run of yesterday, minus the trip to the airport.  Even the weather was pretty much the same as it has been almost every day now, for the last six weeks.

Once I’d done a bit of Spanish and listened to a couple of podcasts over my morning tea, I got my things together and headed out for a session at the gym followed up by a swim.  When I got back, I made a couple of sandwiches for lunch, then decided – shock horror – to do some baking.   Hopefully it will turn out ok. I rounded off the afternoon with a short walk in the sun and a trip to the shops, and am now cooking a lasagne (ready made, I should add, but half price from Tesco) which I think should last us for the next couple of days.

Then I think, if I’ve still got the energy, I might watch a bit of Netflix.   So, quite a low-key kind of a day, but I enjoyed it.

Today’s photos (click to enlarge)

Chainsaw sculpture on a dead tree stump alongside the castle access road.   It’s an acquired taste I think, and unfortunately I haven’t acquired it yet On the other hand, just beside the chainsaw sculpture, is a fine example of a ha-ha, which is an object of fascination
Cool and shady in the woods by the castle gardens Fabulous flowering fuchsias in Church Road
Flowering shrub down by the “Anna Livia” green – which was buzzing with people relaxing in the sunshine tonight Boats looking summery down in the marina.   I think this one takes trips over to Lambay Island
The new picnic table in the “Secret Garden” in the Casino.   Not tried it out yet, but it looks quite nice
