(Summary blog only.   Last full blog was Day 0368).

I spent this morning on video calls to friends around Europe.   First with one in London, and then later on with another in France.   I really enjoy keeping up these links – the world feels a very small place nowadays.

It was quite a mild day, and after heavy overnight rain, living in Ireland today really felt like being in the centre of an emerald maelstrom as burgeoning greenery erupts everywhere.  Val went into work at lunchtime and so after I’d done some more Spanish homework, I headed off to the gym.   I decided to extend my exercise repertoire today, and added 10 minutes on the rowing machine to my sessions of floor exercises and static cycling.   I finished off with 24 lengths of the pool, and then returned to the flat via SuperValu.

Now it’s time to make dinner – it’s salmon with chilli, mashed potatoes, carrots and peas tonight, with a nice bottle of wine to wash it all down.   Another good, and fairly relaxing day, only marred slightly by ongoing problems with this website, which the hosting company have not been able to fix, and which are making it very hard to add pictures and GPX files to the daily posts.  Hopefully it will be fix-able soon.

The environs of the Grand Hotel, Malahide, which hosts my gym (Arena) in an annex at the back We decided to treat ourselves to a €14.99 bottle of Malbec.   Just because it’s Monday.
Interesting display (in Irish) in the library.   “Comhairle na nOg” means “Youth Council”
A bit more of the Grand Hotel, at larger scale.
