Commentary

I am delighted to report that by 9am, our toilet trouble had been sorted out.   A very competent plumber turned up with a huge box of tools, a large electric drill and lots of enthusiasm.  After ten minutes of sawing and drilling, it was all fixed.

Our friends arrived bang on time from Glasgow and were with us in the flat by 10:30 am.  After a late breakfast, we headed into town and had a quick skirt by some of the best known sights, ending up at the Guinness Storehouse for most of the afternoon.   A great day out and I’d recommend it to anyone.

A quick canter back on foot through Temple Bar and round the back of Trinity College then just managed to get a DART back from Pearse with only 1 minutes wait.

Now it’s time to get ready for dinner and open a bottle of something sparking to celebrate our first guests safe arrival!   (Oh – and the no longer busted flush too).
