Ireland day 0455. Tuesday 27 December 2022- UKXmas2205

Today’s summary	Half the family left this morning and the rest of us went to a local restaurant for lunch.   Central heating broke down in the afternoon and in the evening we watched “Top Gun” (the original movie) while sitting by the fire
Today’s weather	Dull, heavily overcast with no sun, and occasional prolonged rain showers.   Moderate to strong south westerly wind.   Appx 8C.   A complete contrast to yesterday

Commentary

(Summary blog only.   Last full blog was Day 0368).

Half of the family visitors departed this morning so those of us still remaining headed on down to a local restaurant for a late lunch, but only after I’d done a bit of gardening first.   Visited neighbours for coffee in the afternoon.

The central heating packed up in the evening so we had to light a fire, which was actually quite cheery despite the circumstances, and an ideal accompaniment to “Top Gun” on Amazon.

Now well into eating up Christmas leftovers for dinner while the younger family contingent met up with friends in the pub.

Tonight’s cerebral viewing.   Watched Top Gun Maverick last night so did them in the reverse order.   Even I could follow the plot.   Very enjoyable
