Boxing Day / St Stephens Day Chilterns
Commentary

(Summary blog only.   Last full blog was Day 0368).

Spent the late morning and afternoon on a circular walk with the family  round the hills and valleys of the Chiltern countryside.   A brilliant sunny winter day with the town and countryside looking good.   Hot tea in Koko’s pop-up café (which is rapidly becoming a permanent and popular feature) then topped it off with Boxing Day drinks in the Elephant and Castle.

A good day all round.

Today’s photos (click to enlarge)

Boldly going – across the mud Dead Man’s Fingers fungus (probably) – lots of it in the Wicklow mountains too
Align JV works in the valley coming on well.   The ventilation shaft should be completed in 2023.   Then the area will be completely re-landscaped Shardeloes lake
Well earned beers at the Elephant and Castle (and testing out new Paramo Jacket – so far so good!) Classic valley view from Rectory woods
Remembrance Gardens with St Mary’s church in the background
