Ireland day 0178. Friday 25 March 2022- Covid7
Commentary
Well its been a week now and even though I feel considerably better than I did a week ago, the pink line was still as strong as ever this morning. So we had another restricted day today which was a bit frustrating but at least the jigsaw got done and we found time to watch a James Bond film. Yet again the sun was brilliant outside which just added insult to the injury of not being out walking the Wicklow Way at the moment. Bev is in roughly the same point on the recovery curve as me though Pete is still a couple of days behind.
Anyway there’s no point in moaning about it – it is what it is. But tomorrow unless there is a major relapse overnight, I will be able to go out again. Most scientific authorities seem to agree that by eight days after developing symptoms, you are unlikely still to be highly contagious so unless I sit around in crowded pubs I’m not likely to infect anyone even if I’m still testing positive. Given that we are all either infected or recently infected, maybe the four of us will get in the car and go and sit on a beach somewhere. The self isolation guidelines for Ireland appear to allow it
There isn’t much more to say about today that than, so I will sign off now. Dial back in tomorrow to see what happened overnight – I’m reasonably confident I will be just as positive as ever, but with any luck we will hopefully at least have been able to get out a bit more than we have over the last week.
