Commentary

I’m trying to make the most of my visit to the UK by, as well as enjoying the family get-together on Saturday, trying to catch up with as many friends as possible, many of whom I haven’t seen since before we moved to Ireland.

So I headed in to Covent Garden this morning to catch up with a long-standing friend from a former life at work. We planned to have a quick brunch but it seemed to run on until mid-afternoon, as there was so much to discuss.

Shortly after the extended brunch, I had a video call with another friend – this one in Texas – later in the afternoon. Another good opportunity to catch up and to discuss the merits (or otherwise) of joining a gym. I then managed to slot in a quick haircut before returning to Bucks to enjoy a relaxing evening catching up on some TV.

Back to Ireland tomorrow, but not before seeing another friend for coffee out here in Bucks in the morning first, and then heading down to Gatwick in the afternoon.
