A relatively quiet day today.
Went to the gym in the morning for the first time since Christmas – it’s taken a long time to shake off the chest infection that has lingered for several weeks and I didn’t want to overdo it. But it felt good to be back and I really enjoyed it.
Spent the afternoon preparing meals for the next few days and making a casserole from yet more Lough Avalla beef. It’s been amazing value and tastes superb.
A video call with a friend in Scotland in the evening, then finally a few hours actually to read a book. Very relaxing.

Iconic Gibneys pub in New Street. For some reason, everyone in Malahide seems to have at least one of their glasses in their crockery cupboard.. |

Frosted grass again this morning. In shaded areas, it’s been frozen for about a week now – though slowly beginning to get a milder this evening |
