Ireland day 0530. Sunday 12 March 2023- UKHip12

Today’s summary	In the morning I despatched some goods I sold on eBay then in the afternoon Val went to London and I did a bit of shopping in town on my crutches. Recovery going well and doing a little more every day
Today’s weather	Dry, much milder, and mostly overcast. Moderate south-westerly wind. Appx 12C

Commentary

(Summary blog only. Last full blog was Day 0368).

Spent the morning waiting for someone to collect some stuff I’d sold on eBay, then had breakfast. Later in the morning, Val and I walked round the block – not very far, at just over 1km, but a welcome change of route.

After lunch, we walked up to town then Val had to go on to the station to catch a train into London to spend the rest of the afternoon dealing with some business. So I was left to “fly solo” for the first time and managed to buy some kitchen roll and biscuits at the supermarket. To reward myself for my superlative efforts, I also bought myself an almond croissant from a newly opened patisserie. I carried the whole lot back in my rucksack and felt extremely pleased with myself for my epic achievement.

Just going to relax with a cup of tea and the croissant now. Recovery going broadly well. Each day, mostly, I find I can do a little bit more.
