Ireland day 0513. Thursday 23 February 2023- Coffee

Today’s summary	Our backs are slowly recovering so I went for an easy session at the gym and Val met me for coffee in the Grand Hotel afterwards.   Video call to Canada in the evening

Commentary

(Summary blog only.   Last full blog was Day 0368).

Both of us were feeling much better today so after a morning spent listening to podcasts, I had a video call with another friend in the UK, made lunch for the two of us and then went to the gym.   I enjoyed the session though took it a bit easier than normal, to avoid doing any damage to my back.   I’m pleased to report that I appear to have survived unscathed.

Then best of all, once I’d finished, Val walked down through town to the Grand Hotel to meet me (the gym is in the grounds of the hotel) and we treated ourselves to a posh coffee in the lounge.   A very enjoyable and relaxing way to spend the late afternoon.

Then in the evening, we caught up with family in Canada – unlike Europe they seem to be having an excellent snow season this year – and finally sat back to enjoy the last of the aubergine satay bake and a bit of Netflix.
