Commentary
(Summary blog only. Last full blog was Day 0368).
Val was feeling considerably better today – so much so that she thinks she may be able to go back to work tomorrow. And my back is almost back to normal too.
So in the morning, we took a slow walk round the demesne to start getting bones and joints back into action again, then after lunch Val relaxed her back while I went to the gym to clock up a few more km for the Morocco challenge. I think our team is nearly there now, though sadly one of the other groups beat us to it and got there last weekend.
After a session in the gym then a quick swim, Val walked down and, in a repeat performance from yesterday, we retired to the Grand Hotel for a very civilised cup of tea (and scone, in my case).
Now we’re back in the flat, it’s time for dinner and tonight I’m doing grilled salmon fillets with sweet potato and peas, followed by fresh pineapple (whole pineapple reduced to 36¢ in Supervalu – you can’t go wrong). Time to get the potato peeler out!
