Commentary
(Summary blog only. Last full blog was Day 0368).
Val was in the midst of her five day stint at work, so once she’d set off for the museum, I pulled together my things and headed into town to join the walking club for a short amble from Heuston station.
The walk passed Kilmainham hospital and gardens, Kilmainham gaol, the War Memorial Gardens, Islandbridge and Phoenix Park. Another dry bright spring-like day, though a bit of a cold breeze at the start. Sun later in the day warmed things up a bit and it became very pleasant. Lots of people out and about but Phoenix Park was – as ever – looking spacious, verdant and lovely. There was even time for a quick cup of coffee in the visitor centre before heading down to the station and then onwards back to Malahide.
A very enjoyable day.
