(Summary blog only.   Last full blog was Day 0368).

Took Val to the airport first thing this morning.   She’s returning to the UK for Xmas and I will be joining her on the 23rd.   We will both returning to Ireland on the 30th.

After dropping her off I decided to make use of the fact that I was out and about in the car and drove down to Decathlon to get some more swimming shorts.   Then walked over to neighbouring Ikea to treat myself to some Scandi-Nordi smoked salmon and coffee for breakfast in the café.   Very enjoyable.

Stayed in the car after Ikea and drove round to Dundrum to check out the shopping centre down there.  Quite interesting to look round with a good range of shops I thought.  Though the excitement at discovering a branch of Harvey Nichols turned out to be misplaced as it was very underwhelming.   Got a sandwich and coffee in Starbucks then drove back to the flat via Swords Tesco to pick up some milk.

A very interesting and quite worthwhile day out.

Smoked salmon heaven!   Ikea, Ballymun Inside the Dundrum shopping mall.   Pretty much like shopping malls the world over – and definitely one of the better ones that I’ve visited here in Ireland
The outdoor plaza at Dundrum – must be nice in the summer
Ideal spot to start planning next year’s adventures!
