Ireland day 0447. Monday 19 December 2022- Wonderlights

Today’s summary	Val working in the museum in the afternoon and then in the evening at Wonderlights. I went to the gym while she was working, then had a look round Wonderlights in the evening. Really enjoyed it.
Today’s weather	Heavy showers in the morning and early afternoon, but dry and clear by evening. Blustery south-westerly wind, dying away later in the day. Feeling very mild at 11C

Commentary

(Summary blog only. Last full blog was Day 0368).

Val had a morning off but in the afternoon was working at the museum and then in the evening at the castle.

While she was away in the afternoon, I spent a couple of hours at the gym and swimming, then on return to the flat made dinner. In the evening, Val invited me up to her place of work to see the Wonderlights display. Had a good look round and really enjoyed it. Also met some of her colleagues.

Definitely worth a visit when in the area!

Animated illumination of the castle. It actually looked much better in reality, than it does in the photo	One of several illuminated trees. Quite effective actually

Foxes and other assorted fauna – including (later on) a cave bear and giant Irish elk. Like palaeontology brought to life, in so many ways	In the romantically entitled Tunnel of Love..

Another illuminated tree, this one with what looked like wire netting. With the castle behind	Food court at the end. Lots of tempting offerings especially the mulled wine lorry
