Midwinter’s day. From here on the days start getting longer again. Hooray!
Had a relaxed morning in the flat as I seem to have got another cold (definitely not Covid by the way – I have tested!) and I want to be over it by Christmas. Headed into Dublin around noon to to a bit of last minute Christmas shopping and also to check out the decorations and various seasonal festivities. Treated myself to lunch in Fegan’s 1924 café and then walked over to MoLI to look at the latest exhibition on the Blasket Islands.
Fascinating and as such I decided it merited a cup of tea in the MoLI Commons café afterwards.
Caught the DART back from Pearse station around 6pm after a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon out.

Peering through the caged doors into what seems to be well on the way to becoming the sad ruins of the Dublin City Council Wholesale Fruit Vegetable And Flower Market
