Commentary
(Summary blog only. Last full blog was Day 0368).
Our first full day back in Ireland after our longest (and most eventful) trip away. So we took it very easy and indeed might have succumbed to the temptation to stay in bed till lunchtime had it not been for the arrival of the gas boiler repair man at 10 am to do a scheduled service.
Once he’d gone, we resumed our leisurely progress through the morning and headed off into town to get some stamps at the Post Office, visit the Library to renew some books, and then complete a circuit of our favourite Hanlon’s Lane walk via the Marina. At over 3km, it was a good 50% longer than my longest post-op walk to date. Woo-hoo!
We were both quite tired after our short sojourn so after lunch (re-heated Thai takeaway left over from last night) relaxed for a couple of hours again in the afternoon then dragged ourselves out to the shops to get some tea. Now its time to relax a bit more then probably an early night calls. Why is life so tiring at the moment?!
