(Summary blog only.   Last full blog was Day 0368).

The first of a couple of days’ holiday in Antrim – today visiting the Bushmills distillery (which was excellent) followed by a short walk to the beach at White Park Bay.

Easy driving – took under three hours to get here from Malahide.   Staying in a B&B near Ballintoy, near the Carrick-a-Rede rope suspension bridge.

Ate at the Fullerton Arms in the evening and faintly saw the northern Lights at around 10pm.

Today’s photos (click to enlarge)

Outside the distillery.   You can’t use electronic devices inside because of the risk of sparking in the alcohol rich atmosphere (improbable but true!!).   So no photos inside Starting off on the tour.   Bushmills is the oldest Whiskey distiller in Ireland and is currently expanding massively.   The brand is very successful in America
A spot of tasting at the end.   Unfortunately my options were a bit limited as I was driving 🙁 Seasonal decor just coming to life in the gathering gloom
Overlooking White Park Bay – a vast deserted beach though I imagine it gets busy in the summer On the beach looking west towards Portbradden Harbour
In the tasting room.   The copper still is non-operational
