(Summary blog only.   Last full blog was Day 0368).

Val was working at the museum in today so first thing in the morning I had a video call with another friend (the third this week!) and then went to the gym.   Quite enjoying it now, especially the swimming afterwards.   Had lunch at the flat then spent the late afternoon doing my Spanish homework.

This evening we are having what in the 21st century is slightly cringingly known as a “date night” – dinner out at the Kitchen of Asia restaurant just down the road from us in Malahide.   We’ve decided that life is too short to be economising all the time so are going to treat ourselves to a meal out every so often.   Mind you, we’re saving money and still haven’t put the heating on so spend evenings in the flat wearing our down jackets..

Down in the basement doing a Very Important Job.   It’s a bit hazardous, mind you, as the ceiling is considerably lower than I am tall
The notorious and nocturnally noisy railway bridge.   It’s still looking some way from being finished and every night from midnight until 5 am Iarnród Éireann continue to do “works” on it, which seem to consist mainly of groups of men hitting it with a hammer.
