Ireland day 0385. Tuesday 18 October 2022- Killarney DWC 2

Ireland day 0385. Tuesday 18 October 2022- Killarney DWC 2
Today’s summary Climbed Carranuntoohil – highest summit in Ireland.   Led a team of Val plus one other DWC member, starting at Cronin’s Yard and going up via the Devil’s Ladder.   A tough route and quite slow.   Poor weather with heavy cloud, occasional rain and storm force wind.   Only saw six other people on the whole mountain all day.   Dinner and then “chase the ace” card game with the rest of the Club at the Castlerosse resort hotel n Killarney afterwards – didn’t get to bed until after 1 am – but did win €30!   All in all an epic day.
Today’s weather Quite mild at lower levels but storm force westerly winds higher up.   Occasional rain and no sun.   About 14C at the bottom, 6C on the top.
