Ireland day 0419. Monday 21 November 2022- Decathlon Again
Commentary
(Summary blog only. Last full blog was Day 0368).
Val was working at the museum in the afternoon so while she was out I drove round to Woody’s to get a Christmas tree for the flat and then on to Decathlon for the umpteenth time (it’s fast becoming my new go-to shopping destination) to buy some new socks, swimming shorts and running trousers. I also got a fleece top for just €15 which by any stretch of the imagination must be a bargain in these days of hyper inflation.
Don’t worry though – the Christmas tree isn’t going up till mid December but they are 30% off at the moment (but still €56) so too good a bargain to miss.
As an aside I also got a reply to my letter to Fingal County Council about the greenway cyclepath over the Broadmeadow lagoon from Malahide to Donabate. Basically it won’t be open until 2025 (if everything goes to plan) and will cost €30mln. Construction is expected to start in 2024.
