Commentary
(Summary blog only. Last full blog was Day 0368).
Climbed Carranuntoohil – highest summit in Ireland.
Led a team of Val plus one other DWC member, starting at Cronin’s Yard and going up via the Devil’s Ladder. A tough route and quite slow. Poor weather with heavy cloud, occasional rain and storm force wind. Only saw six other people on the whole mountain all day.
Dinner and then “chase the ace” card game with the rest of the Club at the Castlerosse resort hotel n Killarney afterwards – didn’t get to bed until after 1 am – but did win €30!
All in all an epic day.
