It’s been a bit of an odd sort of a day to today. Val and I decided to have a fairly low key morning in the flat, so we just spent a couple of hours catching up on the day’s news while we had our breakfast and made future plans.

Around 10:30 I had to go into Dublin for an afternoon engagement. That went straightforwardly but took longer than I expected and I wasn’t finished until well after 6pm.

Getting back to Malahide was a bit of a slow process too. I waited for ages for an N2 bus across town which never came, so had to pivot and catch an E2 and a Dart instead. But eventually I was back by about 8:30 at which point Val and I enjoyed a delicious fish finger curry which we washed down with a couple of glasses of very nice red wine.

Now it’s time to kick back, relax, and watch some more of “The Windsors”!

Finished reding this book off today – a really enjoyable travelogue, particularly if you’re a cyclist.   Thanks to Garry for lending it to me! Crodws admiring the Dublin Portal on North Ear Street.   A window on another world
