Hanlons Lane with Marina again
Commentary

Today our friends from Glasgow arrived to stay with us for a few days. So the morning was spent doing the final bits of tidying up and shopping prior to their arrival. There’s so much to do! Anyway eventually we were ready so we went on a quick circular walk round Hanlon’s Lane and the Marina, got some sushi from Donnybrook Fair for lunch on the way back, then went off to the airport to collect them.

Their flight landed at about 3:30 and we were back in the flat by about 4pm. We spent a good couple of hours enjoying refreshments (tea, cake and wine) in the flat then went out on another short walk – this time around the Demesne.

We spent the rest of the evening in the flat enjoying a delicious curry that Val had made (amazing!) and catching up on all the news.

Anyway it’s getting late now, so I’m going to sign off and get some sleep in readiness for tomorrow’s adventures.

A wonderful relaxing day and so nice to see good friends again.

Breakfast!   (My porridge concoctions usually taste better than they look!) Val’s office (The Casino) looking as lovely as ever
Hydrangeas on Hanlon’s Lane.   I’m not sure if they are actually flowers or bracts Southbound diesel heading off the viaduct into Malahide station
