Ireland day 1145. Saturday 16 November 2024- Return to Normal

Today’s summary	A relatively quiet day today, compared to the last few weeks. Woke up late then sorted out some laundry and had brunch of lamb casserole. Val went to work in the afternoon and I did some difficult Spanish homework. A quick walk in the late afternoon then some shopping and finally a YouTube video on Greenland before Val got back at about 10pm.
Today’s weather	Cool dry and bright for most of the day, after overnight rain. Light westerly breeze. Appx 10c

Commentary

We’ve been buzzing about quite a lot recently so it came as quite a nice change today to have a bit less on our schedule.

We started off rather lazily, actually, as neither of us woke up before 9am this morning. So that didn’t leave much time to sort out some of the laundry I’d washed yesterday, and to get a late brunch of lamb casserole, before Val had to head off to work.

Once she had set off, I tidied away the lunch things and settled down to the first part of my Spanish homework. It was an audio, and I always find them hard. Today was particularly so, and I really struggled to work out what was going on. Anyway, eventually I finished it, with a little help from Google Translate.

Once that was out of the way for the time being, I decided to go out and enjoy the bright afternoon before it got too dark. I walked round the demesne then tacked on an extra bit up the “hidden” hill and stopped off in Tesco to do some shopping on the way back.

A light dinner in the evening (I am still supposed to be watching my waistline) then a few moments to finish off the Greenland documentary on YouTube that I’d started yesterday, before Val got back at 10pm.
