Final day back in the UK.   It’s been a great opportunity to keep up with the Canadian branch of the Dawson household, not seen since last September.    So lots of news from North America and Ireland to exchange!   Time for a decent brunch (more smashed avocado) and a leisurely walk along the river up to St Pauls before catching the train out to Heathrow for the flight back to Dublin this evening.   Contrary to expectations, there were absolutely no delays at security – we were through in under five minutes.   Really like this new scanner they are trialling which means you don’t have to unpack everything.

So now I need to start examining the Malahide tide timetables to try and find a suitable slot to attempt the dry-footed circumnavigation of the Broadmeadow Estuary!

Today’s photos (click to enlarge)

Floral Street blossoming with people Iconic red phone box.   So glad they have been retained, even if they are never used nowadays
The amazing upside down man floating in James St Crowded Covent Garden plaza.   Narrowly avoided being roped in as comedian performer’s sidekick
Another of those iconic phone boxes, on the Aldwych I was amazed to see our old friend Lithostrotion putting in an appearance in the pavement near Chancery Lane!
Final view of London, for the time being, wouldn’t be complete without a couple more of those red boxes
